From Lost to Leading
I didn't start in education — I started in IT. As an IT Tech, then IT Director, then Cyber Analyst, I saw the same problem everywhere: organizations desperately needed cybersecurity talent, but nobody knew where to find it.
In 2014, I realized high school students had no pathway into cybersecurity. College wasn't the only answer, but nobody was teaching it at the high school level. So I built what didn't exist.
That program became a model for districts across the state. For 8 years, I watched students go from "I don't know what I want to do" to certified professionals landing IT jobs right out of high school.
Now, as Work-Based Learning Coordinator managing 11 CTE programs and partnering with 80+ businesses, I've expanded my reach. But I kept seeing the same gaps: adults wanting career changes, businesses needing trained teams, schools needing better support than what big certification companies offered.
That's why I founded Sign Me Up Cyber in October 2025. Same mission, bigger impact: give people the structure, support, and real training they need to actually succeed — not just pass an exam.
