Meet The Founder
Hi, I’m Brittany Mazzaferro, Founder of Sign Me Up Cyber, LLC.
With over eight years of teaching experience, I became New York State’s first certified Cybersecurity CTE teacher and created the state’s first high school cybersecurity program. I hold degrees in Psychology, Cybersecurity, and Computer Forensics, as well as a Professional Certification in Cybersecurity Career & Technical Education (CTE).
My career has spanned both industry and education: I worked as an IT technician at a bank, a cybersecurity analyst for an insurance company, and an Educational Technology Leader managing IT operations for a K–12 district. I’ve also partnered with colleges to lead summer technology programs for both students and adults.
Currently, I serve as the Work-Based Learning Coordinator for the Syracuse City School District’s STEAM High School, where I connect students with real-world career experiences through internships, business partnerships, and project-based learning across multiple CTE programs. This role has deepened my passion for bridging the gap between education and the workforce by ensuring every student gains meaningful, hands-on opportunities that prepare them for future success.
I founded Sign Me Up Cyber, LLC after seeing too many learners finish programs without the hands-on skills or mentorship needed to truly succeed. My mission is to change that by providing practical, flexible training that prepares people for industry certifications and career advancement, whether you’re a high school student building your first tech skills or an adult ready to launch a new career in cybersecurity or IT.
Outside of my work, I’m a proud mom and lifelong learner who believes opportunity in technology should be open to everyone!
